Job Description

Group Financial Controller

  • £90-100,000 base + bonus & benefits
    • This Global Media Scaleup is a UK employer of choice despite the current climate continues to experience steady growth. They already operate throughout the globe and have a healthy balance sheet with further aggressive growth plans for the next 3 years.They are now recruiting a Group Financial Controller to manage the day to day operations of their global finance function.Reporting to the Group FD your key responsibilities will include:
  • Full responsibility for the Group’s accounting function and financial systems for various entities
  • Collating the financial reporting, management accounting, internal controls and tax functions at both a group and operational level
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of the management and statutory accounts - under IFRS and UK GAAP, across various entities
  • Responsible for monthly board and audit committee reporting
  • Work with the Group CFO to formulate financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy determined by the board
  • Oversee the corporation tax monthly VAT returns, and other HMRC reporting as required
  • Managing the relationship with external auditors
  • Lead & develop a small but growing finance team
  • Maintaining relationships with auditors, banks and tax advisers across all group locations
  • Ad-hoc project & analysis work as directed by the CFO
    • Demonstrable Experience & Knowledge:
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with previous experience in a similargroup reporting role
  • Experience in a multi-country, multi-currency operation
  • Successful track record working within a listed company environment
  • Sound knowledge of external reporting and technical accounting (IFRS and UK GAAP)
  • Proven experience in leading/developing a finance team/function
  • Previous media experiencepreferred but not essential
