Job Description

Michael Page are partnering with a Reputable Private Equity Firm to assist them in hiring a Group Financial Controller for their London based team.DescriptionKey responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Accountable for the preparation of the year-end annual report and accounts
  • Manage and produce statutory accounts for subsidiary companies
  • Accounting for disposals
  • Accounting for acquisitions, and valuation of goodwill and intangible assets
  • Legal entity restructuring and accounting thereof
  • Preparing the monthly cash flow statement & assisting with loan covenant compliance calculations
  • Preparing the statement of comprehensive income and statement of changes in equity
  • Manage the accounting for the Groups hedging arrangements
  • Accounting for Group reorganisation transactions
  • Accounting for investments in associates, JVs and other equity investments
  • Ensuring financial instruments are recorded at the correct value each reporting period in accordance with IFRS 9
  • Reconciling intercompany loans across the Group
  • Accounting for hive-ups, hive-downs and mergers
  • Reviewing changes on new accounting standards
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for central accounts and legal entities
  • Prepare Audit Committee papers and technical accounting information/memos
ProfileThe ideal candidate for this Group Financial Controller in the Financial Services sector in London:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Consolidation experience in multinational Group of companies
  • Strong technical skills, particularly on IFRS, UK GAAP and Companies Act
  • Demonstrate excellence in Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to use finance systems effectively to analyse large volumes of data
