Job Description

Radley Green is partnering an exciting, growing, international Omnichannel retailer to recruit their Group Financial Controller on a 12-month fixed term contract.This role is to start in August or September 2023, as there is a need for a handover before October, but the business is relatively flexible on the start date.The role will report into the Group Finance Director, manage the Financial Controller and in turn a team of 15 and own all financial reporting activities for this £300m group. The business need someone with strong team management and financial reportingexperience and also require someone who has worked in retail previously.The role will pay £90k-£105k plus benefits and hybrid working (3 days in the office in central London).The main responsibilities are:

  • Working closely with the Group Finance Director and COO on a day-to-day basis
  • Management, and development, of 3 Management Accountants, 1 financial controller and in turn a team of 10-12 sitting under the FC.
  • Owning all external reporting to banks, investors and other stakeholders
  • Manage full P&L and Cost reporting to review and drive improvement in financial performance
  • Support on year-end tax and statutory accounting preparation
  • Development and implementation of strong financial controls and processes across the business.
  • Work with senior management team to review investment appraisals and new business opportunities
  • Analyse performance of .com business along with UK and international stores
Candidates must have / be:
  • Able to start a new role in August or September 203 and be able to commit to a 12 month contract
  • Previous experience working in a Financial Reporting focussed role
  • Experience managing a large team
  • Previous experience working in Retail is a necessity for this role
