Group Financial Controller

Job Description

AskIf is looking for a Group Financial Controller to join our growing business.Responsibilities and DutiesThe successful candidate will be part of a small team who are responsible for the financial management of the AskIf entities.You will be providing support and reporting into the Chief Finance & Risk Officer, as well as getting the opportunity to work and interact with colleagues from across the business, to widen your understanding of the business in general.Responsibilities and duties involve day to day financial management of the AskIf Group entities. This includes but is not limited to:

• Manage a team and the work-flow of 2 and provide them with training. Hire new people into this team as the business grows
• Manage month end process of all group companies and the MI reporting packs
• Preparing reports in line with debt facility agreements. These include portfolio performance, cash waterfalls, cohort analysis and other reporting requirements
• Day to day lead on annual statutory financial statements preparation and the group audit process
• Provide business partnering support for functions as required
• Develop controls and procedures to ensure that all key issues are identified, communicated, and captured in all the appropriate systems
• Group payroll and supplier processing, payments and reporting
• Review and submission of Companies House and HMRC filings
• Other ad-hoc duties and projects as required from the CFO

Qualifications and SkillsWe are looking for an amazing person who has a positive attitude, willing to learn and grow. You will be a fabulous fit for this role if you possess a good understanding of FRS102, IFRS9 and Effective Interest Rate calculations, as well as best practiceprocedures for financial controls, alongside having the ability to effectively prioritise and manage your workload.To carry out this role successfully, the appointed candidate must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience within a bank or lender is essential, and either ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified.You must have the ability to evaluate, prioritise and balance you and your teams workload; You must be pro-active, a good problem solver and aspire to develop your accounting and system knowledge throughout all aspects of your role.
