Job Description

Communicate Recruitment is currently working with a leading Multi-national Oil and Gas organisation in their search for a Group Financial Accountant.The role will report to the Group Financial Reporitng Manager, and youll be actively involved in providing monthly, half-yearly and year-end consolidations. You will also be responsibel for giving detailed financial analysis and reconciliations.Salary: £58,000 - £62,000 + bonusResponsibilities include:

  • Preparation of the monthly consolidated reporting, ensuring adherence with guidelines, policies, and recommended accounting practice
  • Providing monthly analysis and insight related to actual reported results
  • Assist finance teams in resolving any technical accounting and process issues or queries and ensure monthly consolidation is completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting matter
  • Coordinate and prepare the half year and year end results disclosures and financial statements
  • Liaise with the auditors to ensure smooth and efficient running of the interim and year end audits
  • Co-ordinate the Group’s global statutory accounts process
  • Assist with Monthly Performance Reports
  • Assist with group-wide finance projects as required
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified and ACA/ACCA
  • "Big 4" experience.
  • Minimum 2 year PQE
  • Understands and applies relevant accounting principles and IFRS
  • Understands the principles of effective financial systems
  • SAP
  • Cognos controller (desirable)
