Job Description

Our client is an Internationally known standards setting organisation with a first class reputation. The team prides itself on a positive work environment with friendly committed colleagues.They are looking for a resourceful, intelligent team coordinator for a period of 6 months initially, to assist with the setting up of a new Board and all the associated arrangements and logistics. This will be to work in the public interest concerning businessstandards. You will also assist with the consolidation of one of their Boards into the main organisation.The main duties of the Governance Coordinator role are:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal staffand external stakeholders (eg government officials, senior regulatory and business stakeholders)
  • Coordinate and manage a busy, detailed and frequently changing meeting schedule that spans multiple time zones and includes multiple internal and external participants
  • Manage all meeting logistics, including meeting technology access, organising venues/meeting rooms, drafting agendas and compiling and distributing meeting materials
  • Manage detailed and frequently changing national and international travel arrangements, including itinerary planning, securing visas and other travel documentation, making car/rail/flight/hotel/dinner bookings
  • Provide administrative support to the Chair, Programme Director and other staff as required
Skills and experience
  • Ability to work with othersand effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • High level of autonomy, resourcefulness and initiative and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work flexibly, remain composed under pressure, and respond to conflicting demands efficiently
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills; ability to draft clear, succinct and appropriate correspondence and documents
  • High level of integrity and professionalism; ability to handle confidential or sensitive matters with discretion and to exercise judgement to determine the appropriate course of action, referral or response
  • Experience of managing complex and frequently changing travel and meeting arrangements across time zones
  • Experience supporting senior-level executives in an international environment is highly desirable
  • Confident MS Office
