Job Description

The primary objectives of this team will be establishing best practice solutions to satisfy the business requirements. The team will work closely with the NRF Global Process Owners and the technicaldelivery team which includes 3rd party IT vendors. The team has a global remit and will be required to work across different time zones to meet the business needs and utilize all the available communication tools. Occasional travel to the relevant regionsmay be required in order to manage the global solution successfully.The Role:The Global Time Product Owner is expected to provide and continuously improve advanced functional knowledge of business processes related to:

  • Time Recording
  • The Integration of Time Recording with external systems
Responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
  • Defining the vision, strategy, roadmap, release plan, and ongoing prioritization for the time recording system
  • Managing the product lifecycle from concept to decommissioning
  • Understanding and Defining customer problems, use cases, value propositions, and minimum viable product for a release
  • Partnering with stakeholders to develop business cases to gain approval for product or service investment
  • Supervising Business As Usual (BAU) delivery; including assessing impact of change requests, reviewing delivery artificats, and signing off on interim deliverables prior to making them available to the business
  • Partnering with the Business and the PMO to oversee time recording projects
  • Partnering with Enterprise Architecture in vendor selection and management to ensure alignment to product delivery strategy.
  • Coordinating with UX as needed to ensure design meets functional needs
  • Ensuring traceability of requirements from stakeholders to product release
  • Partnering with Regional Change Management and Training teams to develop and implement a successful change management and training program
  • Soliciting user feedback for product and delivery improvement
  • Collaborating with peers to determine resource needs on projects and BAU teams.
  • Conducting and participating as needed in reviews for requirements, application design, testing strategy, and change control activities
  • Communicate status and change requests to stakeholders
  • Point of Contact and time tracking expert within the Application Services team to share overall customer needs, vision, and direction.
  • Agile execution through management of the product backlog, epics, user stories, iteration plans and feature acceptance.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders to develop acceptance criteria, sample data, and User Acceptance Testing. Participates in functional testing when needed. Reviews test results to determine delivery readiness.
  • Accountable for delivery of end-user training, materials, and support
  • Prioritizes features for releases based upon agreed Critical Success Factors - includes features and bug/fix
  • Makes tradeoff decisions between scope and schedule within agreed constraints
Skills and Experience:Mandatory experiences
  • Knowledge of Time recording processes and the matter life cycle
  • Demonstrable experience of establishing and running user workshops, designing and implementing process improvements
  • Must have worked through the full IT software project lifecycle from requirements gathering to post implementation support; including experience working on both Agile and Waterfall delivery teams
  • Minimum three years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner
  • Proficient in using Product, and Requirements management tools
Nice to have skills & experience
  • Functional understanding of SAP billing & electronic billing (eBilling)
  • Understanding of the ways of working of the legal industry
  • Working knowledge of Time Recording software
  • Understanding the Structure of an Application
  • Working knowledge of the Service Now Application
  • Product Owner Professional (PO) Certification
