Job Description

SteppingStones are delighted to be partnering with a leading legal organization based in the Cayman Islands who are looking to appoint a Global Technology Services Director. This is a leadership role within their newly formed Technology Services departmentand the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery, support and ongoing maintenance of all IT infrastructure, mainstream applications and related IT operational activities across the business.The Global Technology Services Director is expected to define a future vision for transforming the new Technology Services function, focusing on strategy, operating model, skill sets required and organization structure. The successful candidate will be asenior stakeholder in all relationships with externally sourced infrastructure and operations capabilities. As a key member of the senior IT leadership team, this role will contribute to the on-going development and execution of the Enterprise-wide IT strategy.Key Responsibilities:

  • Introduce innovative, differentiating infrastructure and operational capabilities that enhance overall competitive capabilities and enhance employee productivity.
  • Set out the Tech Services vision, strategy and approach to modernise and improve the department.
  • Up-skill and structure the team to maximise efficiency to support current technology portfolio, meet future tech strategy and support business demand.
  • Work closely with the IT senior leadership team on the service portfolio and the governance model required to prioritise resources and assign budget.
  • Build successful stakeholder relationships with other IT and business key stakeholders by developing a clear understanding of business needs.
  • Develop the annual Tech Services budget to ensure that it is consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT.
  • Define, develop and manage a comprehensive and integrated IT Service Management (ITSM) landscape based on best-practice processes and disciplines.
  • Improve IT resilience by executing strategies that improve reliability, tolerability and disaster recover readiness.
Essential Requirements:
  • Extensive experience taking on leadership responsibility including operational support, defining and delivering against strategy, budgeting and staffing.
  • Proven ability to develop and communicate Technology Services vision that inspires staff and aligns with IT and business strategy.
  • Experience in supporting and implementing transformational initiatives using Agile Methodology, DevOps and CI/CD delivery models.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in complex environments.
  • Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units.
  • Budget planning and financial managed exposure including management of public cloud spending models.
  • Mainstream vendor partnership experience such as Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, HP and Ricoh.
