With clientsranging from multinational organisations and public sector bodies to entrepreneurs and family businesses, the work we do is diverse.Hear from Ed Stacey, Tax People Leader about what a career in Tax could mean for you - from development, to our culture, towhat we value in our people when building our team.The Global Fiscal Policy Team PwCs Global Fiscal Policy team supports governments, intergovernmental organisations and businesses across the spectrum of fiscal policy; providing policy advice, technical assistanceand capacity building in the areas of public financial management, tax reform, governance and transparency, and the sustainability, net zero and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) aspects of these. We work with international organisations, intergovernmentalbodies, corporates, aid agencies, and directly for ministries of finance and other government departments around the world, advising senior ministers and decision makers on complex issues of significance for society. Our team includes public financial managementspecialists, tax policy experts, economists, accountants, policy advisors, and project managers, many of whom have experience working in the public sector and in international contexts.Who are we looking forWe are looking for motivated and driven Managerswith relevant public sector experience to join our team. Your public sector experience should be in a treasury/finance ministry, tax authority, customs agency, trade department, central government department or other relevant entity, and can be in the UK orelsewhere.As a Manager in the team, you will need to thrive in a variety of contexts, including winning and delivering client work, managing projects and project teams, contributing to business growth and supporting the overall development of the team.As amember of the team you will be offered the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging and satisfying assignments around the world as part of a fantastic group of people. Many of our projects are undertaken in close collaboration with others, so candidatesshould be those who excel at working as part of a team. The role is based in the London Embankment Place office, and will likely require some international travel once travel restrictions ease.Skills required Experience working in a treasury/finance ministry,tax authority, customs agency, trade department, central government department or other relevant public sector entity Genuine interest in fiscal policy and the impact it can have on our societies Relevant professional experience Proven experience managingprojects and teams Strong written and analytical skills Ability to pick up complex and unfamiliar tasks, cut through the noise and deliver within tight timeframesOther skills that would be an advantage: Experience with tax policy, tax administration or taxadvice An understanding of climate change, net zero and/or sustainability policies Economic modelling, econometrics and/or data analysis skills Experience with trade and/or customs policies Ability to work in French and/or Arabic Tertiary qualification (Bachelorsor Masters degree or similar) in economics, finance, accounting, public policy, or other relevant areaNot the role for youDid you know PwC offer flexible contract arrangements as well as contingent work ( ie temporary or day rate contracting)The skillswe look for in future employeesAll our people need to demonstrate the skills and behaviours that support us in delivering our business strategy.
