They interact with numerous teams across the organisation providing technical support and operational advice. As a control function, a key focus is on continuous process and control improvements, collaborating with upstream functions to drive the right outcomes.As part of Aldermores IT transformation programme the existing General Ledger is being replaced. This is a highly complex change that touches upon every process in the Financial Control team and impacts a wide range of stakeholders.The role of Finance SME - GL Replacement is really important to us. It is a varied, interesting and exciting role which will suit a technically strong finance professional who has experience in implementing or managing finance systems. You will support the Head of Financial Control (HoFC) who has been seconded onto the programme to lead the divisional finance deliverables. Whilst the role will initially focus on the mortgage divisions, it is expected that aspects of the role will cover the wider divisional finance team - supporting process alignment and automation across finance.This role requires strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of processes and the ability to step out of detail to see the bigger picture. The business is not looking to lift and shift processes. Therefore, this role will suit an individual who can dive into processes, understand what they do and how they fit into the reporting cycle - without creating undue pressure on BAU staff. This understanding will enable the individual to support process design & reviews to ensure they meet the programmes automation and efficiency objectives.When the time is right, we would love to welcome you to our London office. In the meantime you will be based remotely.
