Job Description

GIS Officer Brief OverviewWould you be interested in working with a public sector authority in London The role is permanent and will be fully remote post-COVID.Our client is in the process of changing how they think about service delivery in the future and this role is a key part of that process. They are facing an unprecedented period of growth, which will bring changes in demographics, in the types of services required and in the ways people access those services.The drivers for change are:

    • They are seeking an experienced GIS Officer who can help support a number of departments across the authority with the production of maps and plans. You will sit within the ICT team and will be given the freedom to develop your skillset. You will be supporting a number of different departments to provide mapping and cartographic support.Responsibilities
  • Working within the IT team to provide technical GIS support and responses to requests.
  • Map production and cartographic work.
  • Production of plans.
  • Updating of maps.
  • Providing advice to the team regarding their GIS set up.
    • Skills Required
  • Experience of working with ESRI ArcGIS.
  • Experience of producing detailed cartographic outputs.
  • Digitisation and data capture.
