Gift Buyer£35,000Central London (flexibility to work from home part of the week)*Gift buying experience, heritage brand, analytical, able to carry out merchandising tasks* heritage UK brand looking for a experience Gift Buyer, museum, heritage brand or luxury / premium department store background would be desirable!The focus of the gift team is to identify and create distinctive, credible ranges within gift, toys, games and seasonal products. The categories are worth approx 20 million and 2,000 SKUs. The success of the sales is driven by a well curated product offer but is also a very analytical role where you will be using data from excel and planning stock.To support this approach, we are looking for an experienced Buyer that has the ability to work with our Senior Buyer to deliver a distinctive Gifting (Drinkware, Lifestyle, Accessories, Confectionery, Gadgets) and Games & Puzzles offer that can deliver our ambitious sales growth plans.The ideal candidate will need to have comprehensive product knowledge of the Gifting / Seasonal categories and a genuine interest in heritage and design. Top class organisation and merchandise planning skills, ideally gained within a small to medium retail environment. You will have the ability to communicate effectively and drive improvements through analytics and astute commercial understanding. You must be very strong on excel and love analytics as this is a combined buying and merchandising role. If you are a product focused merchandiser and want a change, great, get in touch!
