Job Description

Gift Administration and Compliance OfficerFundraising and Supporter Development Kings College London, Kings Health Partners & Guys and St Thomas London/Hybrid with 40% of the week in the officePermanent, full time 35 hours per week Salary: £35,502 - £39,308 per annum depending on experience, including London Weighting Allowance, rising to £36,532 - £40,224 per annum depending on experience, including London Weighting Allowance Excellent benefits, including 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, and 4 days between Christmas and New Year, pension, cycle to work scheme and staff discountsAre you highly organised, process and solution focused, with strong attention to detail Do you have good working knowledge of fundraising/charity regulation and data protection, and experience of working in a compliance or compliance support role Charity People are delighted to be partnering with the Fundraising & Supporter Development team at Kings College London to help bring on board a Gift Administration & Compliance Officer.The Fundraising & Supporter Development team fundraises for Kings College London University and two associated NHS Charities: Guys and St Thomas Foundation and the Maudsley Charity which promotes positive change in the world of mental health.The Gift Administration and Compliance Officer will be part of a small, high performing team and be instrumental in building and maintaining tools and resources for colleagues, enabling them to work compliantly and confidently.Key responsibilities:

  • You will triage and respond to gift administration and compliance queries and requests within defined service level times, escalating where necessary.
  • You will support with reviewing and providing feedback on a broad range of documents that require compliance advice including gift agreements, online pages and forms, and supporter communications. You will also support with the creation, review and updatingof documentation, including toolkits, process flows, guidance, training materials and templates, including resources on internal sites, ensuring that colleagues are able to easily access content, guidance and the latest updates.
  • You will provide administrative support for the management of international giving mechanisms.
  • You will arrange and support training, workshops and drop-in sessions, communicating with attendees and recording and maintaining attendance.
  • You will produce and collate accurate helpdesk analysis for insight purposes and measuring performance, and that will feed into a variety of reports and papers, and support with projects and undertaking and maintaining audits and research.
The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of Fundraising/Charity regulation and the General Data Protection Regulation, as well as experience working in a compliance/compliance support role. You will be highly organised, process-orientated,with a strong attention to detail. You will also be an excellent communicator, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. As a team player, you will be willing to be flexible to support colleagues in a fast pacedand complex environment with changing priorities.
