Job Description

We have a superb new job opportunity for a German speaking Language Design Quality Specialist to join a leading, international languages & translation services providing company on a freelance project-to-project basis. LANGUAGESGerman to mother tongue standard as well as fluent English.LOCATIONRemote COMPANYOur client is a leading, international language service provider (LSP), working with leading companies from all business sectors across the globe with a superb range of language solutions (translation and localisation ). JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThey currently require a German speaking Language Design Quality Specialist to work with the software design team in one of the most innovative, multinational and multicultural technology companies.As a Design Quality Specialist, you are responsible for examining, proofreading, and testing all dialog experiences that are published to production, and for making sure each one reflects the character, the specced design intention, and contains no syntacticor grammatical errors. With your language expertise and cultural knowledge, you will also be flagging issues in existing and new designs in your locale. The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, quality- driven, loves language, and has deep linguisticknowledge.Responsibilities

  • Review and proofread dialogs before publishing, making sure that they reflect the character of the product, contain no syntactic or grammatical errors, and flow naturally in the target language
  • Review natural language models and enforce expected design behaviour, fill any intent gaps based on testing
  • Perform testing on behaviours in key experiences and with sensitive topics
  • Support the design and editorial team in auditing existing behaviours and dialogs
Depending on the experience and skills, duties might also include:
  • Analyze gaps in international features and designs, present the findings and suggestions to cross functional teams
  • Identify areas of improvement in existing tools and processes, and communicate them to cross functional partners
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
  • Native proficiency in German
  • Great linguistic knowledge
  • Current and direct exposure to your locales culture over a sustained period of time
  • Great English reading and writing skills
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Self-driven, flexibility to work on multiple projects and with various types of deadlines
  • At ease with technology and open to work with softwares and proprietary tools
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
