Having recently moved their infrastructure to GCP, they are now looking for a bright and proactive self-starter to take full ownership of their high availability and highly scalable Cloud and DevOps environment as they continue to expand across the USand look towards Europe and Asia. Alongside the day to day management of their GCP platform, you will immerse yourself in a multitude of challenging full lifecycle DevOps projects and be expected to provide ideas and solutions to complex problems, recommendingcutting edge tools and processes along the way. As the company continues to expand it will offer genuine career progression as the right candidate will have a opportunity to grow the team and manage additional DevOps Engineers in the very near future. KeyDuties: Day to day management of their distributed GCP platform Ensure the GCP platform is optimised and running efficiently Design, test, maintain and improve CI/CD microservice pipelines Expand the infrastructure to different regions and increase scalabilityMeasure and monitor platform performance and availability Research, recommend and deploy the latest technology and tools for improvements Ensure the platform and infrastructure is secure and robust at all times Collaborate with the technical team to supportthe infrastructure Ensure good software engineering practice underpins the DevOps environment You will need: Excellent knowledge of GCP DevOps infrastructure in a commercial environment In-Depth knowledge of configuration and container management (Kubernetes,Terraform, Istio Service Mesh etc) Excellent knowledge of Cloud Networking including VPNs, Firewalls, Subnetting, VPCs and NATs Experience with CI/CD tooling (Bitbucket/Pipelines) Experience with Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver) Good knowledgeof infrastructure and software security Good knowledge of MySQL database architecture and performance Experience of managing a GCP DevOps environment running a highly scalable, distributed
