The BusinessA video game publishing company supporting game developers of both mobile and console productions to reach wider audiences, build stronger video games through technical support and raise funding as required. The team have been behind some of the UKs most downloadedmobile and purchased console games from major successful releases across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo to breakthrough VR hits. With offices in London, Finland and Poland this is a truly international team.The JobYou will join the team as a Game Discovery Scout where youll combine your genuine passion for video games with the commercial needs of a gaming production agency to identify opportunity for new developer partnerships.Supporting the Partnerships and Marketing Teams your job will be split into two areas. The first will be to research and find upcoming games for console and PC release. Through online communities, vlogs and industry media outlets youll identify games inearly-stage development with potential to be commercially successful.The second part is to play new games and prepare reports on their strengths and weaknesses. With the guidance of the wider team, youll learn what to look for and how to properly appraise new games and identify genuine potential for partnerships.As this role develops, youll gradually gain more contacts within the industry from game developers to reporters. Using these relationships, youll be able to contact game developers directly to request demo versions of new releases to review.This is an exciting entry level job for gaming enthusiasts who like to immerse themselves in the gaming community and want to turn that passion into a professional career.You will be expected to work from the office in Soho, London at least 1 day per weekCandidate Requirements Passionate about the gaming sector and either engages with or even runs gaming channels on YouTube, Discord, TikTok, Reddit, Twitch etc. Immersed in gaming, in particular console and PC. Capacity to play a lot of games. A curious approach which will allow for analysing a games strengths and weaknesses, feel like you can identify good game concepts even if execution is lacking.
