The BusinessA video game publishing company supporting game developers of both mobile and console productions to reach wider audiences, build stronger video games through technical support and raise funding as required. The team have been behind some of the UK’s most downloaded mobile and purchased console games as they continue to break new boundaries through innovative brand partnerships delivering unique playing experiences for its audiences.The JobYou will join the team as a Game Designer responsible for working with internal teams to help develop and evolve games from concept through to launch. This is an exciting role for someone with 3-5 years’ experience and now looking to take that next step in their career and join an expanding and ambitious game publishing company.Job Breakdown: • Work with Product Managers to blueprint their aims for each game to a point where they can be released to market and iterate these releases to continually improve the design. • Use player behaviour data and your intuition to create truly enjoyable experience for players. • Design successful in-game economy and reward structure or game balancing, deciding how much items are charged and what the reward is to ensure users feel they get value and return to the game. • Develop new feature ideas based on what designers create and turn these into tangible game assets. • Analyse how features in a game work in relation to each other, bringing them together and think of how the game hangs together. • Work with Product Manager, clearly communicating the game vision to the development team which is distributed globally. • Measure the impact of in-game features. • Bring expertise about competitor products and continue to push the quality bar.Who Fits the Bill• 3-5 years’ experience in Game Design with a passion for the industry either mobile or console. • Solid experience / understanding of Unity • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to present game blueprints. • Understanding of graphics • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Cn work to deadlines.Benefits• Perk Box staff discounts. • Monthly social events.• Encouraged to play video games as part of your job.• Vitality medical insurance for employees after probation.
