Eames Fine Art is a well-established art dealer and publisher based in SE1 London. We have recently expanded - adding additional gallery spaces - and we are looking to recruit a new full-time experienced manager for our gallery on Bermondsey Street tobe involved in managing the gallery premises, planning and hanging exhibitions, working on PR for the shows, talking to journalists, also updating the exhibition website as well as heading up a team of sales people.We are looking for someone who is confidentand comfortable discussing fine art with clients and is motivated to progress and convert these discussions into sales. The candidate will also be experienced in and confident managing the gallery space and assisting with all the planning, researching, promoting,curating, hanging and hosting exhibitions, private views and special events.Strong experience with high-end selling is important, we also require the ability to work under pressure and be proactive when it comes to researching the artists and artworks in ourcollection and finding new sales and promotion opportunities. The candidate will be working with a fantastic team: managing other gallery staff, and working with the studio team to ensure the smooth running of exhibition preparation and after sales.We arehoping to find someone who is passionate about life and their work, whilst enjoying the opportunity to develop and always learn more. We are a small but dedicated team with excellent relationships with the clients and artists we work with; the events we runare enjoyable and rewarding. This position is an excellent and exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and is looking for an interesting and fulfilling role. They should be happy to work as part of a team as well as for periods alonein the gallery; they should have good charisma, common sense, integrity and a positive attitude as well as a strong interest in fine art.
