This is a pivotal role for the effective operation of the New Art Centre Sculpture Park and Gallery. The successful candidate will independently oversee all gallery operations and will be a critical point-person for other business areas taking place on the estate, including the Roche Court Educational Trust and Roche Farms.Roche Court is a thriving, international organisation. The ideal candidate needs to be ambitious, responsible, well-organised, adaptable and deploy a can-do attitude to all tasks.Duties Working closely with the Creative Director on organising the exhibition and the sculpture park programme. Coordinating exhibition logistics from start to finish in connection with Directors; this includes liaising directly with artists, artist estates and clients, preparing artwork lists, drawing up consignment paperwork, updating ARTlogic, and coordinating installation week with the team. Overseeing all artwork logistics in terms of works entering and departing the park; this includes both ad-hoc consignments and exhibition consignments. Logistics include organising the transit of works across the UK and abroad, as well as discussing installation options with the technical team at the New Art Centre and external contractors where necessary. Having an awareness of the condition of sculpture in the park and coordinating technical team to maintain, clean and move the work. Liaising with other gallery team members about photography of artworks, updating of price lists, park map, details sheets, artist biographies as necessary. Art Fairs - liaising with gallery team and fair representatives to collate all necessary information and plan logistics relating to art fair participation. This includes art fairs both in the UK and internationally. Researching and writing up our weekly Work of the Week newsletter Coordinating the management and updating of the New Art Centre website and other platforms we use with Visitor and Events Manager Ensuring day-to-day office procedures/equipment are working smoothly and as planned Working to ensure that as a gallery we are compliant with anti-money laundering legislation Responding to ad-hoc research and sales enquiries, and conducting written research tasks as requested.
