Job Description

Youll work with our clients to develop a supply chain strategy, optimise their supply chain footprint and logistics, manage transportation and distribution, and develop an integrated business planning solutions.About the roleOur Consulting practice is focussed on working in partnership with clients to deliver sustainable business change. We work with our clients to develop new ways of working; from end to end supply chain strategies, enterprise wide commercial and procurement transformation, complex programme commercial and procurement management, to optimisation of discrete areas of the process.We are seeking to recruit a number of commercial & procurement professionals to join an already successful team to help deliver transformational projects around the commercial & procurement agenda. Excellent opportunities exist at various levels for individuals who are genuinely interested in expanding their horizons and wish to work in a challenging and leading-edge environment.Our Commercial & Procurement Transformation team within the Operations practice is focussed on working in partnership with clients to deliver real business transformation across several industry sectors. We are specifically looking for those with experience across the Transport, Infrastructure, Defence and Central Government sectors.ResponsibilitiesAs a Manager or Senior Manager, youll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above Be involved in the financial management of clients Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria Train, coach, and supervise team members Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brandAs a Manager or Senior Manager within Consulting at PwC, you will build on the success of the Government and Healthcare Industries sector practiceEssential Skills & Experience Transport, Infrastructure, Defence or Central Government sector industry experience is required for this role. Previous Consulting/professional services advisory experience is preferred A proven track record in one or more of the following key services: Complex commercial strategy and procurement execution Procurement cost reduction and supply chain reengineering Commercial and procurement function transformation with a focus on digital transformation and user experience Experience in some of the following disciplines: Development of procurement vision and strategy Strategic sourcing Delivering a procurement improvement programme with successful outcomes Purchase to pay process eAuctions Supplier Management and supplier risk management Low carbon procurement/sustainable procurement Collaborative procurement Contract tendering and contract management Delivery of e-procurement solutions Procurement policy and procedures development Transition management from the previous to the new Business case developmentAs well as technical knowledge and experience, you must be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, commercial acumen and ability to thrive in a team environment. The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level or equivalent.
