Job Description

As a FX UI Developer (JavaScript/TypeScript/.Net) you will work to develop a suite of applications used by the Investment Bank Global Market Front Office for e-commerce of both EQD and fixed income products. The applications are delivered via a mix of .Netand HTML5 UI technologies and Java server side components to manage downstream service interaction and orchestration from pricing through to booking.Client DetailsMy client is an Investment Bank operating in the financial services industry with offices in London.DescriptionMy London based financial services client is looking for a FX UI Developer (JavaScript/TypeScript/.Net) to engage in the following:

  • Participate in an agile based software development life-cycle including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with the production support team for release and maintenance of the components.
  • Work closely with the other developers in determining and following best development and architecture practice.
  • Propose and provide feedback from experience/knowledge on architecture, design, technology choices and technology direction of the platform.
  • Train and mentor less experienced participants through instruction, pair programming and code review.
  • Fully participate in requirement and design meetings for new functionality.
  • Develop reference implementations and documentation for platform features
  • Moderate and review development contributions from the development community
ProfileTo be considered for the FX UI Developer (JavaScript/TypeScript/.Net) role at my financial services clients site in London, the candidate must present evidence of the following:
  • At least 5 years software development experience in an enterprise environment
  • Strong development skills and experience with .Net
  • Strong development skills and experience with Javascript
  • Strong development skills and experience with Typescipt , CSS.
  • Strong development skills and experience with the common JS libraries and other web technologies
  • Excellent knowledge of programming best practices, design patterns etc.
  • Strong interest in continuous improvement and all aspects of software development and delivery
  • Agile practitioner using Scrum.
  • Strong understanding of test driven development and continuous integration practices
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, inside and outside the team.
  • Desire to learn quickly and ability to adapt to a fast changing environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
Desirable Requirements
  • Front office development experience in any of : Interest Rates products, FX, FX Options
  • Financial product knowledge in Interest Rates products, FX, FX Options
  • Experience developing large real-time financial trading applications.
  • Experience with common .Net patterns and libraries (i.e. MVVM, Rx, NUnit)
  • Experience with real time messaging protocols.
  • HTML5/Javascript Single page application development (e.g. Angular, React).
  • An ability to design performant software and an understanding of application performance profiling.
Job OfferReceive up to £750 per day INSIDE IR35.Minimum 6 month contract.Opportunity for hybrid working.
