  • About the roleCertitudes Fundraising team works across the organisation to harness and steward new relationships with partners in additional to providing high quality account management to those who are currently supporting us. We are at the forefront of the organisation; its external facing arm; engaging with community and corporate audiences and additionally working with trusts and foundationsThe role of the Fundraising Officer will support the Fundraising and Corporate Partnership Manager in all aspects of the teams work to implement our Fundraising Strategy and achieve our fundraising targets. This will require sound knowledge of all income generation streams. It is important to note that this role will undertake extensive research to identify appropriate new fundraising and grant opportunities. For this reason, new business experience is essential. You will additionally be able to write funding proposals and work with the team to develop and deliver bespoke fundraising plans and campaignsDuties will include:
  • Researching and securing new community, corporate, trust and foundation opportunities, make solicitations as appropriate and support the development and maintenance of relationships to secure funding.
  • Support the Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships Manager to secure and market Certitudes challenges and mass participation events.
  • Write focused briefs, proposals and applications for funding.
  • Plan, attend and manage community fundraising events across London.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders to collate information required around Certitudes projects/fundraising requests/needs.
  • Ensure internal colleagues and people we support are properly briefed and prepared for any meeting with potential partners.
  • About youTo be a Fundraising Officer at Certitude, the following are essential:
  • Experience of delivering fundraising activities with a track record of meeting targets.
  • An understanding of emerging fundraising trends and partnerships, including techniques for optimising giving
  • Excellent written, editing and proof-reading skills to be able to develop compelling proposals
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal skills and ability to engage with people at all levels
  • Multidisciplinary working and managing multiple priorities are essential for this role
  • Be a proficient IT user including Microsoft Office packages, internet and email
