Job Description

Merrifield Consultants are thrilled to partner with Dementia Concern to find their new Fundraising Manager to lead on community and digital income for the charity. This will be Dementia Concerns first Fundraising Manager and they will have the room to shapeand lead the work. This person will have the benefit of working closely with the CEO who as a previous Director of Fundraising, will be able to offer support and guidance to the post holder. Job Title: Fundraising ManagerOrganisation: Dementia Concern Salary: £36,000Location: Ealing, London W5 4DJ (hybrid working offered)Contract: Permanent, Full timeReporting to: CEOClosing Date: Friday 20th April 2023Required: CV and Cover LetterAbout Dementia ConcernAt Dementia Concern, their goal is to provide specialist support and advice to every person living with dementia in Ealing, and their loved ones. We are almost halfway there. We are a charity that exists so that people living with dementia can live as independentlyas possible by providing dementia care services and practical help. Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and schedule new digital products and campaigns, creating engaging timely content for the Dementia Concern community. Work with the CEO to understand our audiences - their behaviours and their motivations.
  • Data dive into a rich history of warm contacts locally, whose families have been helped.
  • Work with the CEO to create a Local Community Fundraising Strategy for the Ealing area.
  • Introduce digital fundraising content and platforms and develop email marketing.
  • Report to Board of Trustees on performance of fundraising activities
  • Recruiting, building, and maintaining relationships with the community across Ealing - to encourage participation in fundraising events and activities.
  • Supporting and managing volunteers who will support activity in Ealing.
Skills and Experiences
  • Candidates will be excited to set up and give shape to a new fundraising department.
  • Evidence of successful fundraising income via websites, email and social media
  • Experience planning, organising and leading in-person community fundraising events.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and express ideas, in person and in writing.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, to set up a fundraising department.
  • Experience managing an email marketing programme and using email tools.
  • Experience using analytics and content management systems to build campaign landing webpages.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser with experience in a digital space and/or community fundraising role.
