Job Description

We are working in partnership with Childhood Eye Cancer Trust who are a UK charity dedicated to helping people affected by retinoblastoma (Rb), a rare form of eye cancer. They raise awareness of Rb and support those living with the effects of Rb today andresearching to improve the future of those living with Rb tomorrow.They are now seeking a Fundraising Manager to join their small ambitious and passionate team. Therole requires a self-motivated individual who can nurture existing donors and be proactive in identifying income opportunities across all areasincluding the corporate arena. With a hands-on approach and the ability to think strategically. The Fundraising Manager is responsible for income spread across Community and Events, Corporate, Major Gifts, and Individuals.The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Significant experience evidence of securing income from a range of sources including community and events, corporates, individuals and/or major donors.
  • Demonstrable success in delivering sustainable growth in fundraised income.
  • Experience of building funding pipelines and widening the supporter base.
  • Substantial experience of implementing a digital strategy / approach to fundraising.
  • Strong experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
  • Substantial experience of presenting to internal and external stakeholder, including funders, supporters, and others.
  • Well-developed experience of budget holding and financial reporting.
The Fundraising Manager, with the CEO, will develop the fundraising strategy to reflect the charities existing Community & Events / Corporate / Individual Giving income streams, as well as the charities future plans. You will be responsible for increasingthe charities income from the above sources, identifying, and researching potential funders to produce an extensive pipeline of prospective donors and supporters. Building productive relationships with new and existing funders, providing excellent donor stewardship- including donor matching, regular updates, and reporting. Developing and building professional relationships with key contacts and networks. You will be extremely organised with a strong attention to detail and work well to deadlines. The post holder willhave excellent communications skills both written and verbal and be able to present to senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, with confidence.
