Job Description

We have been exclusively instructed by a growing Investment Management business who are looking to hire a Fund Operations Manager to join their business, managing a small team. The role will require a strong Funds background and ideally a good understandingof Exchange Traded Funds.Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and organise a small team across a diverse range of fund operations tasks with a view to streamlining and improving current processes. Act as the go to point of contact for the team for the wider business.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including portfolio management, product development, legal, and compliance, to ensure smooth operations and effective decision-making
  • Reconcile daily and periodic portfolio positions, transactions, and cash flows to ensure accurate accounting and reporting
  • Work with fund administrator, custodian, and across internal teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Provide feedback to relevant teams related to the accounting of fund assets, obligations and receivables
  • Manage internal record keeping related to fund assets
  • Project manage new systems, providers, and technology implementations
  • Review global tax regimes applicable to relevant securities
  • Calculate derivatives margin requirements
  • Calculate P&L for executions on ETF orders
  • Coordinate trade settlement activities to ensure trades are settled efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirement
  • Monitor and process corporate actions such as stock splits, mergers, acquisitions, and dividend distributions, ensuring accurate adjustments to portfolio holdings
Job Requirements:
  • 7 years Fund Operations experience working within a similar Investment Management business.
  • Knowledge and experience using order management systems and portfolio management systems, and portfolio accounting systems, particularly Bloomberg AIM
  • Experience with ETFs or other fund and asset management products
  • Ability to work autonomously across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
