Fund Controller - Private Equity and Private Credit

THE SEARCH:Altus Partners is pleased to partner with a growing private equity firm who are looking to bring on a fund controller to join their Fund Finance team. This business is responsible for managing a broad range of investments across the infrastructure spaceand have over $4billion AUM, with fundraising currently ongoing for their third fund. They are going through an exciting growth phase and are looking to grow and develop the team in London.The business is focused on acquiring small to medium-sized assets or companies in the infrastructure sector and create significant value in these projects through a hands-on, value build approach. The Funds invest across geographies where they have successfullyoperated in the past, including: North America, Latin America, Australia, Europe and Africa. They are currently in the process of launching credit strategies within their Private Equity Funds.The Fund Finance team is a growing group internationally who work to ensure the day-to-day management of the funds are managed accordingly, while also collaborating with other teams in the business. The company has a dynamic culture, and the role offersthe opportunity to work closely with senior team members across the globe.The business does have the capacity to sponsor in the UK.THE ROLE:The business is looking for an individual with exceptional analytical skills to join them and assist their fund finance team. The business is looking for an individual to provide support to the wider team while staying focused and working efficiently . Therole will work alongside the fund finance team to ensure the internal systems run smoothly.Responsibilities:

• Review of monthly/quarterly NAVs and investor reporting requirements for the funds which are completed by the third party administrators
• Managing third party administrators as well as oversight over their service functions
• Review of the weekly and monthly Bank Reconciliations, as well as monthly custody reconciliations
• Liaising closely with internal and external operations team to ensure accurate data is recorded internally and externally
• Enhance current processes, including the use of systems to automate and streamline procedures and maintain accordingly
• Supervision and review of the annual financial statements
• Oversight of day-to-day finance and operations responsibilities for the current funds as well as the new fund currently going through fundraising
• Manage and input payments across the private equity and credit structures
• Assisting with preparing information required for audit tasks
• Maintain and streamline financial processes in line with best practice whilst also implementing and driving new controls
• Working alongside the investment team with various ad-hoc tasks

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, or equivalent
• Experience working in Private Equity or Private Credit fund structures
• Experience of financial reporting for investments funds
• Experience of dealing with high volumes of queries from multiple teams, with an ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledgeable in market best practices
• Confident, self-starter capable of dealing with senior team members, other support functions and various outsourced providers
• An interest in the infrastructure sector is preferred
