Job Description

Our Client are one of the UKs top search and digital agencies!Due to their exciting growth plans, we now seek a highly skilled, bright and ambitious Lead or Senior web developer to support the development team.This job can be worked remotely, or from the office flexibly, alongside their talented and friendly team of web developers, designers and UX specialists.Working within the creative team, your focus will be on the technical implementation of web and digital development.As part of a team consisting of Developers, Project Managers, UX Specialists and Designers, you will be able to communicate with these departments, contribute to ideas, and innovate where required. Youll also be required to provide expert advice to potentialand current clients, and recommend the best ways of implementing their needs taking into consideration budgets and timelines. Being able to communicate complex ideas and solutions to people with limited technical knowledge will also be helpful for this role.Knowledge, skills and attributes required:

  • Front-end skills (HTML5 / CSS3 / JavaScript / Ajax).
  • The ability to write PHP to a high standard.
  • A solid understanding of MVC principles.
  • Experience writing custom JavaScript, with or without frameworks.
  • Experience using code version control systems (GIT).
  • Experience developing with open source PHP CMS. (WordPress is our specialism, but others are also useful!)
  • Experience building responsive websites and applications.
  • Solid understanding of web servers and experience in managing infrastructures efficiently
  • Experience of integrating with web services and APIs, including REST endpoints
  • Understanding and applicable experience of working with AWS
  • Knowledge of DNS including using Cloudflare and Route53
  • Working to a project deadline, and acting as lead dev on projects (allocating work, producing technical specification documentation, supporting with sprint planning etc).
