Job Description

Founded in 2010 by ex-investment bankers, my client is a disruptive financial technology (FinTech) company. Their clients are made up of Leading investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, commodity houses, and brokerage firms (collectively representingover 20 trillion dollars of AUM).My clients AI-assisted Software Products offer market-leading trade data analysis in the following areas: Market Abuse; Operational Risk; Best Execution; Anti Money Laundering and Comms Surveillance.My client is embarking on a greenfield rewrite of their web framework, refreshing the entire stack from back-end to front-end. They are seeking a .Net developer to work on this exciting project, and to help modernise all aspects of their web framework. Thisweb framework will be used internally at my client to allow their product teams to build state of the art financial crime detection websites.There are multiple roles starting from a minimum of 2 years experience , salaries are from £50,000 - £110,00 kA successful candidate will be a highly motivated .Net developer, with a passion for adopting the latest technologies, and operating in an innovative manner. They are seeking to build a web framework that is unique, and gives my client a real competitiveadvantage in the speed and flexibility with which our product teams can innovate and develop their applications. Some key features of the new stack are:

  • We use the very latest releases of .net core from Microsoft to take advantage of features such as AOT compilation in Blazor
  • We are building in support for versioning of our data, queries, and front end. This will allow us to display different versions of our metrics to clients in a scalable manner
  • We will provide a simple UI grammar and data query language to our customers and internal teams to allow them to query data dynamically, and build dynamic UIs
ResponsibilitiesA successful candidate would spend most of their time working in C# for both back-end and front-end components, and be comfortable enough to propose new approaches and ideas. The candidate will also be able to coordinate with internal teams who make useof our web framework to prioritise new features, and have a close relationship with our client support teams to prioritise fixes.RequirementsRequirements
  • Good understanding of the NET stack, particularly C#, and .Net Core
  • Ability to think strategically, and to push for game-changing innovations
  • Ability to work independently
