Job Description

TechnologyFull stack Software DeveloperAre you aSoftware Developerworking withinFinancial Services, ideally Wealth or Asset ManagementDo you have a passion for Technology and CodingWe are currently recruiting for a full stack Technology Software Developer working in the Client Technology Engineering team alongside 6 other team members. You will be responsible for transforming the technology supporting the entire client experience:including but not limited to on-boarding, transacting, reporting and all client service functions.This is a hands on engineering position in which the primary objective is to help deliver the client digital roadmap amidst the rapid growth Ruffer has seen over the last 12 months.The Client Technology Software Developer will be required to partner with functional owners to develop solutions that solve business problems for all applications supporting client touchpoints: Ruffer website, Client Portal, CRM, Client reporting and internalcommunication. This will include gathering and validating requirements, developing the solution and delivering to the clients.The role requires close engagement with key stakeholders and 3rd party relationships: vendors, contractors, software providers. To be considered for this position you will need to have the following skill set:

  • Minimum of three years experience in technology ideally within the financial services sector
  • Strong relevant background essential:
  • Experience in one or more programming languages (eg C#, ASP.NET, Python, Javascript, NodeJS, React)
  • Experience in working with databases: SQL Server, Mongo, ElasticSearch, Oracle and data transformation including Python & Jupyter Notebooks
  • Experience developing and delivering technical solutions using standard SDLC Tools (Git) using Agile methodologies
  • Familiar with multiple frameworks/libraries/tools/concepts:
  • Communication: Client-Server, WebSockets, Pub/Sub over AMQP
  • Business process modelling: Workflow, UML
  • Testing: XUnit, MOQ, SpecFlow, Jasmine, Jest, Karma
  • Deployment: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Appreciation of design and UX best practices
