Full Stack Developer with Equities Electronic Trading Experience

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure, and customise trading applications and systems.
  • Provide comprehensive trade support across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lines.
  • Handle system configurations and customisations.
  • Ensure seamless FIX connectivity and client support.
  • Work with Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS).
  • Develop and maintain both backend and frontend components of trading systems.
  • Engage in systems engineering tasks and UNIX/Linux systems administration.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Proficient in Java (preferred), with consideration for C++ or C#.
  • Strong background in equities electronic trading.
  • Experience with Fidessa and Itiviti trading platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS).
  • Hands-on experience with FIX protocol.
  • Full stack development capabilities, including both server-side and UI/GUI development.
  • Systems engineering experience.
  • Proficient in UNIX/Linux systems administration.
  • Experience working in tier one or tier two banks.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a financial services environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred:
  • Experience with OEMS (Order and Execution Management Systems).
  • Prior experience in a developer role with hands-on system configuration and customisation.
