Full Stack Developer - Javascript:

  • Contract (Outside IR35).
  • Remote (client based in London).
  • 3 months initial.
  • Circa £400-£425 per day (but negotiable on experience).
    • Company and role brief for Full Stack Developer - Javascript:Our client is a global leader in data driven information services and digital tools. We are currently helping them to bring on a Full Stack Developer to work in their Product Development function.The role is a one month rolling contract which is likely to go on past 3 months.Heres an upshot on the company background: Our client does business intelligence (helping people in companies figure out whats going on in the world) and events (1000s of people coming together to learn and make connections and celebrate both digitally and physically). Business areas include retail, creativity (yep, thats a business area), fintech, fashion, property.They work in cross-functional teams of 6-8 people, including developers and designers, on mostly greenfield projects for many parts of the wider business. Theyre building web applications to bring together the physical and digital experiences of industry-leading events and business intelligence platforms.The team are self-disciplined yet flexible, and regularly review their practices during weekly retrospectives and sprint reviews. They enjoy speaking directly to the customers and stakeholders who will be using the platforms you build.Key Responsibilities in brief for Full Stack Developer - Javascript:
  • Develop new features for their design systems that are consumed by multiple brands.
  • Add new functionality to their live platforms that allows thousands of users to access information for their events and manage their user journey.
  • Support and build upon their devops and continuous integration and delivery process.
  • Write and test code in an extensible and maintainable way.
  • Integrate with 3rd party providers and consume other platforms.
  • Liaise with stakeholders & analyse requirements to translate them into workable stories.
  • Work closely with other departments and teams like design, technology, marketing, etc.
  • Investigate new technologies and look for ways to improve.
    • Experience youll need for Full Stack Developer - Javascript:Essential:
  • Javascript, ES6, React, Redux.
  • Some experience in Node.js.
  • Jest, Enzyme, Storybook.
  • Webpack, Babel.
  • HTML, CSS3, Less, Styled-components.
  • Component Libraries, responsive styling and design patterns.
  • Best Practices around UX.
    • Nice to have and only desirable!:
  • Building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience with GatsbyJS.
  • Cloud Experience. Serverless and AWS (Lambda, S3, Cloudfront).
  • Exposure to GraphQL & Headless CMS.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in Microservices.
  • Isomorphic Apps.
  • Appreciation of modern application development practices, i.e. TDD, SOLID principles.
  • Any experience of Membership, Subscription or easily scalable/customisable modular platforms would be great.
