Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Person/ Handyman to join a reputable lettings agent based in South-West London.The successful Maintenance Person/ Handyman will be hardworking, reliable and have excellent knowledge of general maintenance work, basic plumbing and electrics, as well as basic tradesman duties like filling, painting, changing locks, installing blinds,using a steam cleaner, gardening, and putting together flat pack furniture.You will also need a full UK driving licence and will be required to travel to different properties most day so every day is different and interesting! You will be meeting many of our residents so a polite and friendly approach to your working life is essential!You will be paid expenses for each mile travelled.The ideal candidate will be an existing tradesman, handyman or maintenance person with experience of basic plumbing, electrics and general building work although we can offer you training if you have the right attitude and want to learn from our existing maintenancepro who is getting closer to retirement age so needs someone to help him. Hes willing to teach you everything with a view for you to take over at some point in the not too distant future.Maintenance Person - Experience Needed

  • Previous Maintenance/ handyman experience (If you feel you have a natural aptitude to fix things but dont have the experience, we can trial you and offer you training if were both happy with each other)
  • You will be a strong communicator with excellent inter-personal skills
  • Ideally have experience in basic plumbing and electrics, painting/ decorating, fixing things and putting things together
  • Excellent organisation skills and punctuality are paramount
  • Must have a full UK driving licence and preferably own car but not entirely necessary right now; if you do well we will consider buying you a van!
Maintenance person - Benefits
  • £12 -15 per hour based on experience
  • Mileage paid for your travel expenses
  • Free to work either on your own or part of a team - its up to you!
  • Free to do as many or as little hours as you want - we are very flexible!

  • Cleaning available at £12 per hour but you must have a car and a full UK driving licence
This is a great opportunity for either a young guy just starting out to build experience, learn and earn at the same time or similarly for a more mature and experienced pro that wants to take control of how many hours they work.
