Frontend Software Developer (Generalist) - London£65 to £70kMy client a leading news publisher is looking for a generalist Software Developer with an interest in working across the full stack and to join a small, agile development team that supports their editorial titles by undertaking quick, tactical changes to their publishing systems and digital products.Key ResponsibilitiesThey are looking for a Software Developer to join their User Journeys team. The User Journeys team’s mission is “Acquire new users, build relationships with them and develop loyalty”.They look after things like: Acquisition of users through search and social optimisationFeatures that encourage users to engage and move around their productsFeatures that increase loyalty, such as email newsletters, registration, commenting and competitionsTracking and understanding user journeys across multiple visits, from discovery to loyaltyOptimising the promotion of features that drive engagement and loyaltyThey are looking for people who care deeply about the code they write while at the same time are able to bridge the gap between the technical and the business areas of the company effectively. They want people who look farther than the technical aspects of the work and care deeply about the human aspect of their products.You will be responsible for designing, testing and implementing improvements to their news products, and the work you do there will ultimately be consumed by millions of people.The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate for this position will be a generalist, with an interest and interest in working across the full stack.
