Job Description

My client are on the lookout for a talented Front-End Software Developer who holds DV clearance tp join their team to use intelligence-led insights to help defend Governments, Nations and Societies from cyber-attacks and financial crime.You will be responsible for the following;

  • Writing pure, standards-compliant code and work closely with web and mobile designers and translate their designs into websites, apps, and interactive experiences
  • Testing, debugging, and building code that works across multiple browsers and digital platform
  • Optimising UI for mobile devices and small-scale screens
  • Designing and producing native mobile apps
  • Developing database-driven applications
  • Ensuring cross-platform usability across smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices
  • Using external APIs to generate quality applications
  • Exhibiting a deep passion for refined, simple design and creating products with high supportability and extensibility
  • Possess knowledge of Photoshop and other creative tools
  • Understanding of mobile development best practices (e.g. responsive design, graceful degradation)
  • Awareness of mobile technologies: iOS, Android, Windows Phone an advantage
  • Data visualisation with Canvas or SVG
  • Define/lead development of IR component.
    • Experience/Skills required:
  • Proficient with a Javascript Framework (3+ years experience)
  • Experience working with Redux
  • Experience working with APIs, especially GraphQL or RESTful data services
  • Experience with testing Frameworks
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team and learn from colleagues
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
  • Experience working with Git version control system
  • Experience working closely with UX team
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
