Job Description

A pioneering start up, that is building the next generation of financial services, are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join them to work on the engineering of customer-facing, cross-platform React Native-based mobile applications, targeting the Androidand iOS environments. Founded by a renowned fintech entrepreneur, they provide simple and instant access to industry-first digital banking, wealth and investment products, holding one of Europes first EMI licences linked to crypto asset classes.You will be involved in all aspects of the development life cycle across the front-end estate, working closely with key stakeholders across the wider business to define, refine, build, test and ship a production ready and highly responsive mobile application.By building and operation on a fully cloud-native banking platform, you will have the opportunity to develop features iteratively and rapidly, helping to effectively wrap up what are complex financial service products into a neat, simple user experienceand interface.Frontend Engineer responsibilities:

  • Write tests for key elements of UI functionality
  • Redefining APIs
  • Contribute to bug investigations, triage and implement bug fixes
  • Be involved in regular review and maintenance of codebase
  • Work alongside engineers, Product Managers, and UX/UI designers
Frontend Engineerrequirements:
  • Experience with Android and iOS environments
  • Deep experience with React Native or React
  • Start-up or scale-up experience preferable
  • Exposure to Golang would be a bonus
  • The client is open to full stack candidates who have experience with React in the front-end domain and exposure to the back-end which will enable them to cross the domain from time-to-time to self-serve
The client is happy for the role to be fully remote if required.You will be joining a high calibre team, within a fast-paced organisation. The salary is £80,000 to £90,000 per annum + benefits, with a degree of flexibility for the right candidate.Interviews are commencing from the 17th January with a view for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
