Job Description

Frontend Developer - Opportunity to work in world leading start up!Are you a Mid-Level Frontend Developer with a few years experience and looking to take your career to the next level Would you like to play a huge part of a world leading tech start ups future and have the opportunity to be lead developer in years to comeOur client is going through a big recruitment drive at the moment and Understanding Recruitment are exclusively partnering them on this journey. They have 2 Lead Developers in place and are now very keen to add a Frontend developer with strong React experienceand a good academic background to the team!This business has span out from one of the most successful finance product providers to come out of the UK in many years. The team has an unbelievable track record of growing finance businesses having grown their last business from 7 people to 450, lendingover £billion.This is an opportunity to work on some meaty projects and add multiple new features to their existing platform and improve their customer journey.The Frontend Developer will be responsible for:

  • Work closely with and support the Lead Developer on their front-end strategy and roadmap.
  • Be hands on working on React front ends to develop the checkout consumer journey and customer account management system.
  • Create slick new features and build delightful customer experience.
  • Help to define the system architecture and its evolution, including componentisation, BFFs, service-interaction, authentication, third-party integrations.
To apply for this Frontend Developer role you will need a combination of the following skills and experiences:
  • Excellent knowledge of React is required. Knowledge of, and confidence working with other front-end frameworks is also beneficial.
  • Good experience with front-end design patterns.
  • Strong academic qualifications with a Computer Science degree at a Russell group university would be ideal. This is not essential though, if you have a relevant degree with a 2:1 or above this is fine.
