Job Description

Senior Frontend Developer - React My client is seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join one of the UKs fasted growing start-ups. They have disrupted both the UK and Europeans used car industry, providing an agile, dynamic and user centric service solution to its customers and car dealers alike with an innovative, user friendly platform.The RoleAs a Senior Front End Developer you will be working within a continuously expanding engineering department, liaising between cross functional teams to build and develop a product that delivers an empowering user experience.You will be using the latest frontend technologies, implementing highly scalable frontend services in collaboration with designers to build optimal solutions and share technical solutions through review, pair programming and code reviews.The ideal frontend developer requires;

  • Demonstrable experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Delivering dynamic, responsive and maintainable web applications/experiences using a modern JavaScript stack (React, Redux)
  • Significant up to date knowledge of JavaScript Tooling, design patterns, ECMAScript Syntax
  • Delivering Server Side Rendered React applications running on Node web app frameworks (Express)
  • Progressive Web Apps, JAMstack, and static site generators (Gatsby JS)
  • Headless content management systems (Contentful/Kentico)
  • Deep knowledge of source control (GIT, Gitflow) and bugtracking systems: JIRA)
  • Using component environments and atomic style guides (Storybook)
  • Building and running Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines and automated test suites
  • Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavioural Driven Development. (BDD)
  • Ability to write unit, component, and integration tests with established testing suites (Jest, Enzyme)
  • Thorough working knowledge developing cross platform/browser compatibility (Firefox, Safari, Opera)
  • Experience of writing server side microservices/Lambda style functions with Node.js
  • Outstanding debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • A solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals including object orientated design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
