Job Description

Job Title: Front End Web DeveloperLocation: RemoteJob type: PermanentSalary: £50,000 - £60,000.We are excited to be working with a leading client in the Retail sector who are looking for a top-quality Front End Web Developer. The ideal candidate for this role will have commercial experience building web sites on the front end in HTML/SCSS/JS, and showa keenness in becoming an active member of the team, as well as suggesting new ideas.Responsibilities

  • Working with the international Marketing, Logistical, & Customer Experience teams to deliver change to all websites and cloud based applications
  • Implementing and delivering first class user experiences on thereecommerce websites
  • Delivering change that is high quality, maintainable, performant and secure
  • Identifying and resolving production issues
  • Working with and supporting the Principal Engineer to evolve thearchitectural landscape, ensuring the websites and applications support growth
Requirements
  • Excellent front-end skills (HTML5 / SCSS / JavaScript (ES6+) / Responsive Design)
  • Experience using package management tools (npm, webpack)
  • Experience using version control software (Git) within a team
  • Experience using Agile development methodologies, especially Kanban
  • Ability to optimise web applications for SEO performance
  • Experience consuming REST APIs
  • Ability to work in a small, fast paced team, whilst delivering high quality work
Desirables
  • Experience of Shopify Plus, including liquid theme development
  • Experience of tailwind CSS framework
  • Experience in writing unit and feature tests
  • Experience in developing and using CICD pipelines
