Job Description

GVA Search are delighted to be partnering with a leading drinks-based business in Londons West End to recruit a French speaking, Head of Finance. This is a superb opportunity to join a thriving business with an excellent reputation in the industry, withexceptional growth plans.Reporting directly to the Managing Director in the UK and functionally to the Finance Department in the head office in France. You will have responsibility for two direct reports and will manage all the activities related to UK Finance. You will ensure thatall UK local accounting, reporting, tax, closing and finance matters are in line with both local regulations and group policy.We are looking for a talented and technically capable individual who will provide detailed management and financial accounts and to assist key business decisions which will shape the overall strategy and direction of the organisation. This is a varied rolein a fast-paced environment and offers exceptional scope to become the Finance Director as the company expands.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsibility of the accounting process for the company (active cycle, passive cycle, merchandise), respecting the local accounting, administrative and fiscal laws and the Group accounting principles
  • Guarantee the correct issuing and registration and follow up of all fiscal documents (in and out) related to the main company businesses, services, purchases, etc. ensuring data completeness, correctness, compliance with the local fiscal laws
  • Guarantee the development of the periodic Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss of the companies, respecting the local laws and the corporate procedures requirements
  • Revise or implement adequate procedures regarding the Internal Control System, in accordance with the Group standard requirements
  • Manage accounting closing procedures (monthly, quarterly and year end)
  • Manage local FS vs Group FS according to the Group criteria
  • Cooperate with the Internal Control and Corporate Organisation in the assessment of the internal processes and procedures implementation
  • Ensure a proper management of all administrative aspects related to all kind of sales to personnel, according to the local law
  • Contribute to the accounting processes update, to the definition and implementation of the appropriate KPI and the structure alignment according to local lows and corporate planning
  • Act as Business Partner providing financial and business analysis and reporting
  • Management accounts: coordinate & manage business plan processes. You set up budgets & forecasting for: sales, commercial investments (PR & events, marketing, Retro Investments...), company overheads; and you follow them (PNL forecast/LER)
  • Maintain stock and manage logistic (Import and domestic distribution)
  • Liaise with the companys solicitor to guaranty the corporate compliance
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, detail orientated accountant with a minimum of three years experience as a Finance Manager or Controller, ideally gained in an FMCG environment. You will have experience of working as a subsidiary of aninternational company and ideally have gained experience in both French and English accountancy.
