Job Description

Job Title: Fraud AnalystLocation: London Victoria 3 days, Home based 2 days per weekSalary: up to £35,000Benefits:

They recognise that to deliver the best products and features for their customers, they need to worktogether effectively as a healthy, high performing team.About the position of Fraud AnalystReporting to the Financial Crime Manager you will support the Financial Crime Manager with data analysis and referrals. Based in a team of 7, the team have recently migrated from a standard system to a new enterprise system within Sira. Sira would be a massiveadvantage but not essential providing you have used other fraud related toolsResponsibilities for the role of Fraud Analyst
  • Building strong relationships through effective influencing and decision-making skills.
  • Supporting change and recommending enhancements to processes and procedures to ensure the firm remains compliant whilst aligning to a risk-based approach.
  • Working on confidential and sensitive matters and exercising good judgement in the execution of the role in support of the business.
  • Reviewing and responding to Financial Crime related queries from the first line in an advisory capacity.
  • Undertake analysis to develop real-time decisions within our fraud application fraud detection systems, using SIRA, CIFAS and Comply Advantage.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and deep dives using SIRA and CIFAS.
  • Aid as part of any investigations relating to suspected fraud, bribery and corruption.
  • Any additional activities deemed necessary to facilitate the successful completion of the Risk & Compliance department objectives.
Experience required for the role of Fraud Analyst
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a Fraud or Financial Crime role, ideally gained within Financial Services.
  • Working knowledge of relevant Financial Crime and Fraud legislation and/or regulatory environment.
  • Good judgement and critical thinking skills.
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced in using fraud tools such as CIFAS,, Sira, Hunter etc
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a small team, and challenge effectively.
  • Good organisational ability and an ability to manage own workload within deadlines.
  • Flexible and collaborative approach.
  • Able to analyse data to identify patterns, trends, inconsistencies and anomalies and reporting findings to management.
  • Experience in the mortgage industry is desirable but not essential
