Job Description

This is a new opportunity to join young and rapidly growing, but already well-established business in the SME banking space. If you’re an experience FP&A Analyst or have a strong controls/reporting background with a naturally analytical mind, then this is definitely worth a look.The role supports the team to meet the demands of a growing business and help develop further strategy and drive further growth. The role is heavily focused on financial planning and analysis, however it will be diverse in nature, covering ad hoc assignments and will require a diligent and flexible approach to meet the changing requirements. The role will give exposure to senior management and provide a lot of opportunity for growth and developmentResponsibilities:

  • Gain a detailed understanding of the core businesses within the group and the key drivers of their business performance
  • Produce accurate forecasts and modelling business performance
  • Act as a link between Finance and the lines of business, assisting with the preparation of the bank’s corporate and financial plans
  • Prepare clear, concise and accurate management information for the divisional MDs and the Board on KPIs and emerging trends
  • Work closely with credit risk, business intelligence, business change & IT development teams
  • Stress testing and scenario analysis
  • Deliver ad hoc projects and analysis when required.
  • Skills & Experience:
  • Newly Qualified Accountant up to 2 years PQE
  • Degree educated, with strong academic record
  • Strong excel skills, including financial modelling
  • Experience of full income statement (revenue & expenses) & balance sheet (funding & capital) reporting and analysis
  • Experience with financial planning software also highly beneficial – specifically Adaptive Insights, Anaplan and Hyperion)
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with the wider Finance team and various stakeholders across the business
  • Financial services experience (especially banking) strongly preferred
