Are you an experienced UK school Principal looking to take on a challenging role in Bahrain We have been given the mandate by a leading International Schools group to search for a Founding Principal of a new UK curriculum school in Bahrain which is setto open in Sept 2022. This a great opportunity for an inspirational and dynamic leader to lead a school from its inception. The successful canddiate will be expected to take up duties in early to mid 2022 to ensure a smooth opening.Located in Bahrain, theschool is scheduled to open in August 2022. The school will offer students a high-quality learning experience which is the UK curriculum delivered by internationally qualified staff in purpose-built facilities. The School will be laid out as a functional Earlyyears Wing/ Primary Wing/Secondary Wing style campus, with about 75 teaching classrooms and activity rooms. Learning will be supported with exciting facilities like a swimming pool, AstroTurf pitch, a sports hall etc. and will cater for up to 1,800 students.Throughout all stages, the curriculum will be further enhanced with Arabic, Islamic Studies and Bahraini History as per Ministry of Education (MOEHE) requirements.1. The Early Years Foundation Stage will be offered for ages 3 to 5.2. Key stages 1 and 2 UKcurriculum will be used for ages 5 to 11.3. Key stage 3 UK curriculum will be used for ages 11 to 14.4. The IGCSE curriculum will be used for ages 14 to 16. 5. The AS/A Levels and IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) will be offered for ages 16 to 18 (Years 12 & 13).The curriculum will be designed to incorporate the local Bahraini requirements.What you will need to apply for this position: Bachelors degree plus Teaching License 5 Years minimum leadership experience in an educational setting, preferably at Principal/Headteacherlevel in a NCE schools Proven track record as a senior leader preferably in the Gulf region in a NCE setting MA /Ed.D in Educational Leadership or equivalent and/or NPQH desirable BSO or similar experience a bonus Experience of leading a school start up withinthe Gulf region Strong strategic and operational leadership skills including financial understanding. Exceptional instructional leadership with a proven track record in implementing outstanding programmes within an NCE school.
