The successful candidate will carry out the 2 roles for a 2-year period, learning from the current Foreperson ready to take on the Foreperson role full time when the incumbent retires. To allow a successful handover and gain appropriate experience thesuccessful candidate will for 18.5 hrs per week be expected to Supervise the team of Fitters, responsible for the servicing and repair of a wide range of grass cutting machinery including compact tractors, hand-held and pedestrian kit and Cleansing equipmentsuch as blowers, trimmers and chainsaws. For the remaining 18.5 hours, the post holder will work as a fitter in the workshop.The role requires a proficient user of IT equipment and software for the procurement of machinery parts and the upkeep of the Parksand Cleansing machinery asset lists.
