Job Description

** FOOD TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME) **Secondary School in RedbridgeWe are looking for a Food Technician to join a secondary school in Redbridge as a full time supply staff member.The hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm.This role is for the rest of the academic year, but to be continued for years to come. This role is term time only.The Food Technician will be involved in:

  • Preparing and clearing away materials and equipment
  • Assisting teaching staff with demonstration lessons and practicals
  • Making arrangements for maintenance and repair services to equipment
  • Assisting in the maintenance of health and safety standards
  • Assisting in the development of lesson plans
  • Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of systems/procedures/policies
  • Promoting healthy eating
  • Maintaining stock and breakage records, catalogues and user manuals
  • Ordering, receiving and accounting for new stock and equipment
