Job Description

Building Manager for a new flagship commercial office development in the heart of the City of London. The salary band is quite wide as my client is open to levels of experience, however you MUST have managing agent experience as Building Manager / Facilities Manager and also have taken an office development from final snagging to pre-launch and then launch. This is a state of the art building with the highest standards of environmental compliance, connectivity and will be finished to a 5* standard with tenants from the top end of the market.Building Manager / Facilities Manager: you will be managing the delivery of an effective facilities management service through in-house staff, suppliers and consultants - across hard and soft services, ensuring a first class FM service is delivered.Building Manager / Facilities Manager

  • Take a flagship development from final phase to launch
  • Put into place all hard & soft FM services
  • Managing a team of in-house FM professionals as well as hard & soft service contractors
  • Prepare, manage and reconcile service charge budgets
  • Provide best in class customer service to internal and external clients / tenants
  • Ensure regular and effective communication with clients and tenants
  • Audit and inspect supplier delivery and any works to the site
  • Measure and report supplier performance against agreed SLAs
  • Manage suppliers to ensure effective, safe and compliant delivery of all M&E related services, including: life safety systems, vertical transportation equipment and public health systems
  • Procure goods and FM services, following procedures and policies
  • Prepare management reports
  • Undertake regular building inspections and implement a robust PPM
  • Ensure compliance with all current statutory legislation in respect of health and safety and the environment
  • Implement & manage environmental activities e.g. ISO14001 working with Sustainability Manager
  • Ensure security and emergency procedures are robust and adhered to at all times, taking an active role in the event of emergency situations
  • Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Membership or Associate Membership of BIFM
  • National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health - accredited by NEBOSH
  • Experience of managing a single-site environment in excess of 100,000 square feet and service charge budgets in excess of £1m
