Job Description

This International Fire Engineering Consultancy are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join their growing business based out of their London Office. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree with LPCB & FHC qualifications for sprinkler system design or equivalent work-based experience. The role is heavily based around the design, specification, review, tendering support and commissioning of new fire suppression systems (sprinkler, water mist, deluge and monitor systems plus related water supplies etc.), in addition you will also have to provide the inspection and reporting on the performance and adequacy of existing systems. The salary for this interesting opportunity ranges from £45,000 to £60,000 dependant on skill set, qualifications and ability, other benefits including the option to join a contributory health care scheme, 25 days annual leave, auto-enrolment pension scheme, support for further education and training.Candidates will need 5 years minimum design experience with FM Global, BS EN 12845, BS9251, ideally NFPA, plus insurance standards. Good communication skills essential to work across a range of sectors, particularly residential and industrial as well as having experience working with and negotiating with insurers. The role is office based but some UK wide travel for site surveys and meetings and some occasional international travel will also be required.
