Job Description

ACL, an integral division of Marlowe Critical Services, are a specialist Fire, Security and Building Energy Management System (BEMS) company operating in the southeast and have been established since 1984.ACL provide dedicated technical support services to a range of businesses and institutions across industries such as Healthcare, Hospitality, Education, Stadia, Heritage to name a few.Working across our three-core service; Fire & Life Safety systems, Security systems, Building Energy Management systems, we are looking to appoint a number of Fire and Security ApprenticesApprenticeship Training ProgrammeWorking within a structured 3-year apprenticeship program, you will learn how to install and maintain a range of fire life safety and security systems within large-scale business premises across London and the south east.Attending college on block release, you will be taught the required regulatory knowledge, design principles and technical skills to work comfortably on some of the most complex and advanced systems within the industry.To compliment your college learning you will be exposed to and trained in a variety of different roles from containment and cabling installation, 2nd fix installation and commissioning, fault finding and rectification, routine servicing and maintenance.ACL invest heavily in their Apprentices and continue to train and support qualified engineers throughout their careers. The vast majority of our Supervisors and Managers have trained within the business, so there are a number of options to further developand progress within the business.What we will expect from you

  • Observing, learning and understanding a wide range of engineering skills and techniques while under the supervision and instruction of our skilled engineering team.
  • Learning the importance of Health and Safety and working responsibly within controlled environments.
  • Following instructions with great attention to detail and care, as you learn new skills, demonstrating that you can perform complex tasks with a high degree of precision.
  • maintaining a smart appearance and acting in a professional manner at all times.
  • Working to support your engineering team by completing all tasks allocated to you, including maintaining good housekeeping of the workplace, tooling and facilities.
  • Completing all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at College and gathering any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.
  • Complete an annual assessment at college and take part in any additional manufacture-based training courses that the company require you to complete.
  • Coordinate with your engineering team and plan your journeys to and from site to ensure that you are always on time and well prepared for the task at hand with all required PPE.

Your apprenticeship course will last a minimum of 3 years, but your progress and development are specific to you, so we have no set rates for year2 and 3 apprentices.
