Job Description

Fire Alarm Service Engineers - London - All Areas My well respected client is seeking a number of Engineers due to an upturn in businessThe majority of your work would be located around London and the surrounding areas.The client always look to reward engineers through additional training and responsibility once this is earned. They always try to make sure their engineers feel included with the developments that they are making as a company to ensure they know they are appreciated.Key Responsibilities:

  • Be available to arrive in London for 8am most mornings
  • Completing various types of maintenance on Fire alarms & other life safety systems
  • Replacing elements of Fire Alarm systems including batteries and detectors
  • Making observations regarding deficiencies with the installed system to a basic level
  • Maintain good customer communications
  • Understanding of Health & Safety & vehicle care and maintenance
  • Part of a call-out rota alongside 9 others - with 3 or 4 callout days on average per month
    • Person Specification:
  • Multiple years’ experience in the Fire Alarm industry
  • Possess a full UK driving license
  • Ambitious
  • Good character & hard working personality
  • Be able to carry, lift and climb ladders.
  • Able to carry equipment up and down ladders, i.e. detectors, cable and power tools
    • Required SkillsGeneral experience on addressable and conventional panels, i.e. Kentec, Advanced, HAES, EMS, GENT - Notifier / Advanced Gent knowledge would be a bonusAdditional Earnings Opportunities:
  • Engineer’s must give 1 hour travel each way when attending jobs, any additional time is paid as overtime at a flat rate
  • Overtime on evenings & weekends is available from time to time. Usually this is paid 1.5 rate (door to door) however at certain points this is higher.
  • They also regularly invest in their engineer via paid external training courses & internal training.

    • Sites / projects / Retail / Commercial, etc - Retail & commercial predominantly, majority is in office buildings, but also a vast array of site types including cinemas, hospitals, shopping centres, private housing, flats shops units etcYou will ideally be located in North, South, East and West London or within M25.
