Job Description

Financial Support Coordinator needed with Camden CouncilStartDate- ASAPLocation - CamdenDuration - Initially 3 months Hoursperweek - 36 hours per weekSalary - £15.47 ltd an hourDescription:

  • Working with residents in severe financial hardship to access holistic support from across the council and with VCS partners
  • You will be responsible for helping clients access resources and develop sustainable financial strategies to improve their financial wellbeing
  • You will deliver support to vulnerable individuals and families including: regular engagement; holistic financial assessments; empowering residents by taking a strengths-based approach; keeping accurate records of client conversations and outcomes; identifyingand overcoming barriers to accessing appropriate local and national services
What is required
  • Knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable residents in hardship and debts
  • Knowledge and understanding of debt and benefit legislation to ensure appropriate interventions are put in place
  • Experience of working in a multi-agency environment
