Job Description

At GlobalData Media, savvy storytelling using our unique data assets is at our heart and soul. Its what makes us different. Serving industries as diverse as mining and healthcare, were looking for a B2B business reporter with excellent writing and researchskills. Our reporter will write for a global audience across more than six financial services websites and digital magazines. Working closely with the editorial leadership team, you will produce copy that resonates with B2B decision-makers.You will be expected to generate editorial content from the deep data assets of our parent company, GlobalData, interview industry leaders, and provide context to the most important stories of the moment.Objectives of this Role

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
  • Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with our knowledgeable audience
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends in the industries we serve
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal teams in the UK and abroad to write high priority content
  • Write original copy based on research and interviews
  • Collaborate internally with editors in the financial services sector and other sectors.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, or related discipline
  • Proof of reporting/writing experience
  • Exceptional writing and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • An understanding and interest in the financial, fintech or professional services sector a plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with standard style guides
  • Multimedia skills
  • Experience in data storytelling/comfort in using rich data sets to tell compelling stories to diverse audiences
  • Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc.
  • Social media experience and understanding of SEO
